Innovative process for converting tannery waste into collagen protein with a range of industrial applications
A UK research centre has developed an innovative process for converting solid waste from tannery processes into collagen protein, using enzymatic hydrolysis. There are manifold potential applications, such as additive to adhesives used in the manufacture of plywood, chipboard and latex. It offers an environmentally friendly alternative to landfill methods of waste disposal. The research centre is seeking commercial, joint venture, financial or license agreements to exploit market opportunities.

Bottle shrinking household equipment for used one-way PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles
A Hungarian small-scale company offers bottle shrinking household equipment suitable for significant reduction of the volume of used one-way PET bottles by means of heat and pressure. The application of the technology allows shrinking of bottles of 0.5-3 litres to 1/12 of their initial volume. Potential co-operation partners are awaited, who are active in environment protection and increasing environmental consciousness.

Plasma-technology-based treatment of chemical hazardous wastes
An Israeli company has developed a plasma-technology-based solution to treat various types of hazardous wastes in chemical industries. Advantages over current methods include safe reuse/disposal of the resulting products with no threat to the environment, and ability of on-line treatment of the waste products as (and in the very place where) they are formed. The company is looking for creating joint venture & commercial agreement with chemical & other plants.
