Hydroxytyrosol recovery from olive oil mill waste and production of clean water
An Italian pharmaceutical company developing original formulations, complying with the international standards of quality, has patented an innovative technique to obtain hydroxytyrosol from olive oil mill wastewater. This compound is a powerful antioxidant, which can be added to nutraceutical preparations. A secondary product of the process is pure water suitable for civil uses.
